The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is inscribed 'Grand Prix Paris 1900'. This refers to the Exposition Universelle of 1900, otherwise known as the 1900 Paris Exposition, which was a world fair held in Paris from April to November 1900, to celebrate the achievements of the past century and to accelerate development into the next. There are a few scratches to this inner cover.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it has an attractive sunburst image to the hinged case back. The condition of the case is very good, just one small bruise to the side.
The acrylic lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has an old repair on the sub seconds dial and some marking.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
