Description

High quality set of 8 antique mahogany shield back dining chairs including 2 carvers, with many fine details & in excellent condition, dating from around the 1910-20’s period.

The top of the backs have triple curves & the carvings inside the back are exquisite, including the “Prince of Wales Feathers” & many other fine details. The legs are tapered with spade end feet & each chair has four cross stretchers between the legs, which are designed to give the chairs more strength.

We have just had the drop in seats re-upholstered in a natural cotton fabric & the chairs have all been re-polished.

These chairs are beautifully designed with good proportions & they even look great from behind.
