Victorian Fan Shaped Button Back Armchair

19th century
Description

A very pretty Victorian buttoned armchair, circa 1880, with waisted shaped back, the sprung seat raised on ring turned front supports and brass and porcelain castors.

The chair itself is in good order, the seat nice and smooth with no lumps or bumps, however the green velvet is stained, it did have a skirt which I have removed in order to show the legs. The front castors are original however the back castors are replacements. I can arrange re-covering with my upholsterer and supply fabric - please contact me for further details.
