Krave Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The outer of the top half is covered in a stylish light and dark brown coloured snakeskin effect leather, there is a sight level on both sides and the flask is curved on one side so it slips into a pocket nicely making it a wonderfully tactile item.

The detachable cup has a gilt interior and is in beautifully clean condition. The bayonet top has been fitted with a new cork, the top seals well and does not leak.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for silver, Crown for Sheffield, makers mark W & H for Walker & Hall. Date letter u for 1912. Hallmarked to the cup and collar.
Marked to the base: Walker & Hall, Sheffield with the Flag logo. 11806. 1/3 PT.

Condition: In excellent condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. A very clean and tidy flask. The hinged lid closes well and a new cork has been fitted so does not leak. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. The leather is in nice original condition with just a few light marks. The glass is in excellent condition.
