A Mahogany Victorian Period Antique Secretaire Bookcase

19th century
Description

A mahogany Victorian Period antique secretaire bookcase. The upper section having a flared cornice above twin glazed doors with gothic tracery detail, enclosing three adjustable shelves veneered in flame mahogany. The lower section having a sliding secretaire drawer, opening to reveal a leather writing surface, pigeon holes, drawers and secret compartments above twin panelled doors enclosing a shelf, flanked by pilasters with carved capitols, the whole supported on a mahogany plinth. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 87" high x 23" deep x 46" wide

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
