Delightful and diminutive, these tiny little fruitwood moulds were probably intended for sugar-paste icing for cake decoration. Each one portrays a range of subjects from fruit and flowers, birds and animals, lovers knots and cupid''s arrow. There is a little indistinct ink writing to the back of each. See the other moulds in the Treen section, they are from the same source. 1870 to 1900. 16.5 cm tall (larger), 13.5 cm tall (smaller). £120 the pair
