An Enormous Pair of 18th Century French Iron Fire Dogs

Description

A really outstanding pair of 18th century French iron fire dogs, the engraved supports have twisted hoop drop handles, spit hooks and are topped with twisted vessel holders and stand on substantial arched feet. These antique fire dogs are profusely engraved overall and decorated with good wrought iron work.

The condition is excellent, they stand very evenly and have acquired a soft burnished patina.

These imposing French fire dogs would be a dramatic addition to the fireplace
