George !! Veneered Walnut Bureau Bookcase Circa 1740

Description

Superb top quality George II veneered highly figured walnut bureau bookcase all veneered on an oak carcase. The fall revealing a shaped interior with drawers and pigeon holes and fitted with a well. Two short and two long oak lined drawers below and standing on turned bun feet. The raised paneled doors to top opening to reveal a part fitted interior with central cupboard with slide out frame revealing secret drawers behind. All in superb condition with replacement handles of the correct pattern, and old replacement feet. Wonderful rich honey colour with fine waxed patina. The images do not do it justice. It is colour to 'die for'.

Size; 87" high, 39" wide, 24" deep. Fall height 32"
