Description

An outstanding antique Khamseh rug, handwoven circa 1890 with a 3 medallion design of stylised flowers and chickens (yes, chickens!) on an indigo field. Fabulous wool and great dyes - a highly collectible piece.
Size 1.78m x 1.45m (5ft 6in x 4ft 9in)
This rug has medium age related even wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned. A few small, old repairs to field (see photos).
