Rare Longines 19a Automatic Art Deco C1956

1940 - 1960
Description

This is an exceptional example of a gents watch made by the premier Swiss maker Longines.

This is an extremely rare model with the sub seconds dial, long sharp dagger lugs and dagger baton markers, very much of the Art Deco era.

The dial is just superb and it has its original winding crown and has a genuine Longines buckle.

It has a calibre 19A fully automatic movement which is of the highest quality and as you can see is sparkling clean and in fabulous condition.

The case has been professionally cleaned and polished so is absolutely pristine.

The case measures 34mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.

The watch comes with its original fitted box.

As you would expect from Longines the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement, crown and case.

It has a new premium grade black leather strap.

It is extremely rare to find this watch and is much sought after by collectors.

The watch movement has just been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Longines in all respects.

This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.

The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.

Longines are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated but elegant look.
