Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers

Description

This antique Victorian burr walnut chest of drawers is a very fine example of this kind of model & has a lovely warm mellow colour. The pattern of the burr walnut running through all the drawers is beautiful & the overall quality is excellent.

It has a solid walnut top, rounded corners & sits on a plinth base. The drawers are deep & graduated in depth. They have turned bun handles, locks & fine dovetails.

This chest dates from around the 1860-70’s period & is in very good original condition.

One of the nicest features is the extra deep bottom drawer, which pulls out with the plinth attached. This makes it a very functional piece of furniture, with no wasted space.
