Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It’s all hand stitched & in excellent condition.

We have taken many images of various parts of the tapestry, so please enlarge all of them so you can see what’s going on in the scene. It looks to me like some “after the battle scene”. It’s probably depicting a famous historical moment, but I can’t work it out.

The colours are still sharp & the scene is very life like. This tapestry is mounted onto a pine frame, which we have photographed too.
