The upper section with drawers and compartments. This piece is of exceptional quality and has beautiful inlay to almost every surface, it is also in very good condition a retains a good faded colour and patina. 1130mm high, 970mm wide and 450mm deep. English. Circa 1785.
N.B. Bonheur Du Jour in French means "Daytime delight" and is a type of Lady's writing desk introduced into Paris in the 1760's and quickly became very fashionable and was soon being made in London.
