Description

A fabulous pair of French made World War 1 British Officers Military binoculars with the brass on the binoculars with the British military crows foot mark. They were manufactured by the creme de la creme of makers and signed on both eyepieces, LeMaire, Paris, together with the famous bee motif. The case is also stamped with the retailer "J. Cripps 1918". The case also has a silver mount for the original owner, engraved J B and a small "s".

The binoculars are clad in a lovely textured leather remaining in excellent condition, now over 100 years old and a true antique.

They have integral sun shades which when extended, the fully opened binoculars measures 7 1/4" in length; when closed up they measure 5 3/8" x 2 1/8" x 4 3/4". The leather case measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 6 3/4".
