The case is also stamped with the retailer "J. Cripps 1918". The case also has a silver mount for the original owner, engraved J B and a small "s".

The binoculars are clad in a lovely textured leather remaining in excellent condition, now over 100 years old and a true antique.
They have integral sun shades which when extended, the fully opened binoculars measures 7 1/4" in length; when closed up they measure 5 3/8" x 2 1/8" x 4 3/4". The leather case measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 6 3/4".
