Description

This is a beautiful untitled watercolour painted depicting a traditional country scene of a farmer and his grand-son herding a small flock of sheep by a thatched cottage. It is signed by H. Murray whose full name was Horace Murray Hammond and lived from 1879-1966. This particular painting is likely to be painted around 1920.
Hammond is well known for his landscape and hunting watercolours and displayed at many prestigious galleried and art societies including the Royal Academy in London.
This painting is in good condition with no foxing or marks although there has probably been slight fading over the years, but this is still a very attractive painting and would be a great addition to any wall.
It has been reframed at some point in the past and the current frame is in generally good condition with a couple of age related marks.
Dimensions excluding frame: 44cm W x 29cm H Framed 60cm W x 44cm H
