A Mahogany Inlaid Arts & Crafts Period Hall Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

A mahogany inlaid Arts & Crafts Period hall stand. The upper section having a central shaped bevelled mirror flanked by ten turned mahogany and inlaid coat hooks with chequer band inlaid panels and having a grey marble inset top. The lower section having an umbrella and walking stick compartments with a central mahogany lined drawer with hand beaten patinated copper handles. The quality of this hall stand and the construction would lead towards Shapland & Petter as the manufacturers although there are no design numbers stamped to the reverse. It could also have been designed by a Scottish company Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy. C1900-1910

Dimensions: 41" wide x 13" deep x 82" high

Condition: This hall stand is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
