Antique English Sterling Silver Box - Figural Lid - Mirror Inside.

Description

A wonderful and most unusual little compact or pill box, with it's bail would make a charming pendant on a silver chain.

Although plain examples of these are often seen, this charming example with a distinguished lady mount to the lid is what makes this one stand out, making it a highly collectible box.

The lid fits well and when opened reveals a mirror to the inside. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1910, making this a late Edwardian example and celebrating it's centenary this year.

Excellent condition, measuring 1 5/8" in diameter.
