Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The central oval panel to the lid is what makes this one particularly special with a repousse scene of lady with her young child; I thought this would make the perfect heirloom gift for a new mother to be passed down in years to come.

The box stands on four very stylish legs with Lion's paw feet. The box is hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1912. The makers mark of G.N over R.H into a shield can be seen for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.
The interior is totally original with wear commensurate with age. Superb condition measuring 3 3/4" across x 2" high.
