Antique Burr Elm Chest on Chest of Drawers

1920 - 1940
Description

Antique George III style burr elm chest on chest with a wonderful colour & in excellent condition, dating from around the 1930’s period.

It has a dental frieze moulding below the cornice, canted corners, a brushing slide in the middle & sits on well shaped ogee bracket feet. The drawers which are all graduated in depth are cross banded & inlaid. They have the original brass handles.

The burr walnut veneers are beautifully figured on the front & on the sides.

Depth – 19 inches, 49 cm
