Early Victorian 0.79 Carat Old Cut Diamond Solitaire Ring, Circa 1840

Description

A truly wonderful Victorian diamond ring. The old mine cut diamond in the centre is impressively white, bright and vibrant. The wonderfully ornate mount is set with 34 diamond set in the claws, gallery and down the pierced and shaped shoulders, leading to a slim and fluted yellow gold shank. A rare and delightful treasure.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30309266).

Cut – Old mine cut in the centre with rose cut diamonds in the mount.

Colour – G. G to K in the mount.

Clarity – SI1 in the centre. The diamonds in the mount are SI1 to I1.

Carat –The centre is 0.79 carat, with a further approximate 0.40 carat in the mount.

Circa – 1840.

Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The diamond is 5.75 x 6.25mm. The ring is 8.7mm at the widest point and sits 5.8mm from the finger.

Metal – 14k gold. Tested.
