Description

Unusual little English Arts & Crafts style dresser c.1900. Low display rack with two shelves flanked with cupboards over a high waisted two drawer base. Superb quality cabinet making in solid oak with exceptional Art Nouveau inlaid door panels featuring roses growing on entwined whip-lash stems. Further inlaid detail to the cornice and backboards, drawer fronts and apron. Retaining the original copper handles, also featuring Art Nouveau motifs. Shaped apron below the drawers also repeated on the sides. Raised on twist carved front legs and distinctive turned feet. Joined with moulded stretchers to each side for extra strength. A few small missing portions of inlay, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
