Leonardene Art Models, are exclusive figures ‘designed by British artists and made in London from British materials, every piece made and finished by hand’. Leonardi had a workshop at 2/4 Elthorne Road Upper Holloway N.19

The company were holders of Diplomas won in world Competitions in the early 1930s in Brussels, Florence, London, Padora and Paris.

This shape number 244, is ‘Rhapsody’, painted in green and gold metallic paints and set on a Matt black base. Leonardi’ s workshop mark is present and the registration number, 817181.

This item is featured in the original sales catalogue as pictured. It retailed for 11s 9d.

Care:

It is interesting to note that these finishes can be sponged with warm soapy water. We recommend that in the case of the matt finishes care be taken to dry well.
