Description

A NICELY PAINTED FRENCH SCHOOL MINIATURE PORTRAIT DATING TO THE END OF THE 19TH CENTURY. THIS IS ONE OF THREE MINIATURES WE ARE LISTING WHICH WHERE MOST CERTAINLY PAINTED BY THE SAME ARTIST, THE COLOUR TONE AND STYLE ARE IDENTICAL.
PRESENTED BEHIND GLASS IN AN OVAL GILT FRAME WITH A PEDIMENT OF FLAMING TORCHES AND TRAILING LEAVES. IN GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION, NO DAMAGE TO THE BASE, NO LOSS OF COLOUR OR FADING, THE SILK ON THE BACK IS IN POOR CONDITION BUT COULD BE REPLACED IF SO DESIRED.
THE SIZE OF THE MINIATURE IS 82MM HIGH X 62MM WIDE, THE FRAME SIZE IS SHOWN BELOW.
DELIVERY IS FREE IN THE UK TRACKED AND INSURED WITH ROYAL MAIL.
