Pair of Painted Single Caned Low End Bed

1900 - 1920

Description

Pair of painted single caned low end bed with fluted columns with carved fluted posts at foot end. Naturally aged paint has been cleaned and waxed to preserve. Possible for single mattresses internally 90cm x 190cm with gap for tuck in of duvet or possible for 90cm x 200cm length if required. As beds are nearly meter wide could have 100cm x 200cm mattresses if maximum sleeping are wanted and beds could be pushed together to make super wide double bed.

Height to top of posts foot end 69cm

Side rail height 31.5cm

Overall width 98.7cm

Overall length 210cm

Price includes pine wood slats (sorry not mattresses)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases. These raise the get into bed height and offer a superior support for quality mattresses. Price each £135 for 5cm depth(as used for photograph) /£195 for 10cm depth. We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices from £150 -£525 each. Details are available on our own web site under Bases and mattresses or e mail us for specifications and price list.

We can arrange national and international delivery with reliable couriers. Please send postcode/address for quotation.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 25 years.

We do have many beds awaiting restoration if you are looking for a particular style and can send images if requested. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.

Workshop/store open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Saturday 10am-2pm
