Carved Oak French Gentlemans Double Bed

1900 - 1920

Description

Carved oak French gentleman's bed with carved fluted columns and fielded panels. This bed has original extra length side rails to allow for the taller gentleman. Possible for 4'6" x 6'6" /135cm x 200cm mattress size. The bed has been professionally restored with side rails checked for good fit, and cleaned and waxed to preserve natural aged patina.

Height to top of bed knobs at head 150.5cm

Height to top of foot 104cm

Side rail height 44cm

Price includes pine wood slats (sorry not mattress)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2" deep upholstered mini box base (Used in photograph). We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices. Please ask for details or look at mattress section of our own web site.

We can arrange national and international delivery with reliable couriers. Please send postcode/address for quotation.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 25 years.

We do have many beds awaiting restoration if you are looking for a particular style and can send images if requested. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.

Workshop/store open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
