Description

Trench art made out of a German "Feldkanone" Brass Shell, marked HL for "Haniel Luege in Duesseldorf", the date mark "1915" and various other marks and turned into the shape of a coal scuttle. Applied with a copper handle, copper legs and a copper or brass coat of arms of the "British Royal Artillery" reading "Uique quo fas et gloria ducunt" (Where faith and glory lead). Diameter of the Brass Shell is ca 12 cm, the length of the Shell is ca 12 cm, extending to ca 13 cm including the copper handle. Heavy with a weight of more then 600 grams.
