Early Oak Wainscot Arm Chair Circa 1690

Description

Lovely late 17th century dark oak wainscot chair of single form with oblong paneled back, shaped arms supported by turned uprights and standing on simple turned front legs united with plain stretchers.All in superb original condition except back board of seat which has been there a very long time. Otherwise all as made. Chair is solid and firm. Lovely rich dark colour with fine waxed patina. Possibly Welsh.

Size; 36" high, 21" wide, 21" deep. Seat height 18"
