Description
A stunning pair of earrings from the early 20th Century, circa late 1910s. The earrings are made from 18kt gold, marked with the French eagle head hallmark, and are a hollow construction making them not too heavy for the ear. The main golden orbs have such pretty floral designs to the bottom of the balls and a fluted style to the top. This gives the impression that they are from the Arts and Crafts period as the flowers have a beautiful look synonymous with this era of design. There are four synthetic rubies set around the front in crimped settings and another in the plain domed top. The earrings have dormeuse fastenings, making them very secure in the ear, and the rubies have a wonderful vibrant pink colour allowing the gemstones to glow against the rich gold.
