Pair of Brass and Copper Filigree Candlesticks

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1910-30, a pair of heavy and beautifully made small brass candlesticks with intricate copper filigree work on the candle cup and base.

On each corner of the bases is a silhouette of a cherub or angel with wings, and it is possible the filigree work may once have been silver plated.

The candlesticks measure 9cm in height and the bases are 8cm square. They take 2cm in diameter candles and are heavy, solid items.
