A wonderful and unusually large example of an antique threaded glass match strike or table vesta; a non-safety match could be struck down the textured body and lit.

The solid or sterling silver rim is hallmarked for Birmingham 1888 together with the makers marks for Arthur & John Zimmerman.

Highly collectible in excellent condition, measuring 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter.
