An attractive and very decorative late 17th.Century Catalan Renaissance Cassone in solid walnut. The front having carved and arched panels with a disguised door which opens to reveal a drawer. The chest is raised on the original carved feet and it retains all it’s original locks, keeps and hinges (no keys). The whole in very good condition, cleaned and waxed to bring out the wonderful patina. Dimensions:- Height…25.75’’/ 65.5cm. Max.Width at Feet…62’’/ 157.5cm. Max.Depth at Feet…24’’/ 61cm.
