An early 19th Century copper jardiniere/champagne bucket. A good sized copper and brass container. This handsome and interesting piece has multiple uses, would look wonderful with flowers or other plants and would make an impressive wine or champagne bucket for special occasions. The copper body, studded with brass, it has traditional Regency style lion's head brass ring handles and standing on heavy lion's paw feet. This is a beautiful shaped jardiniere, being generally oval in shape.Part of the old lining still visible, normal wear and tear for an item of this age but completely sound. A good handsome item.
