A wonderful example of a fine 19th Century Aesthetic Movement ebonised slipper chair with original needle work upholstery, offered in untouched original condition.

English 1880.

Ebonised throughout, decorated with gilt bands and red lines, the straight top rail with key patterned ears above four finely turned and parcel gilt knotted spindles over a wonderful needlework fusion seat on turned sabre front legs united by a stretcher and spindle gallery.

This really is one for the collector and lover of the Aesthetic Movement. A superb example in untouched original condition retaining its especially fine needlework seat.

VIEWINGS

We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.
