Loveday Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
English Circa 1825.
Constructed from fine cuts of Honduras mahogany, the rectangular top with radius corners and moulded edge enclosing a mahogany banding and leather lined insert above three frieze drawers to each side, over two lobed and fluted blaster end supports raised on lateral block plinths and acanthus carved scrolled feet with recessed brass castors.

The condition of this table is of one the cleanest we have owned, after only having been wax polished retaining the most wonderful faded colour, this table has been treated extremely well throughout its lifetime.
This handsome table is firmly attributed to Gillows, apart from the finely selected timber (of which Gillows where the main importers of this time), the distinctive compound baluster pedestals and crisp carved decoration all point to this manufacturer.
Stuarts Gillows Lancaster and London 1730-1840 plate 292 plate 311 ( a Rigby carved foot). Gillows only tended to stamp furniture that was for sale in a shop, so this was likely to have been a private commission.
