Exhibition quality Imari porcelain dished charger , skilfully decorated with a sea-shore or sea-bed scene featuring lobsters , crayfish , turtles and sea-snails to the foreground leading into a landscaped distant perspective with buildings and pavilions in the distance .

Of gently dished form , the reverse decorated with typical sparsely decorated blue motifs to the edges . Raised on a shallow foot-ring with blue line rings . The centre showing kiln spur-marks to the glaze where supported in the firing process .
A highly decorative large-scale charger of rare design, in excellent original condition with no damage , repairs or rubbing to the decoration.
