Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
This bureau has a shaped gallery top above a fall front and an open bookshelf all standing on shaped bracket feet. The fall front drops down to reveal an arrangement of pigeon holes to the interior. The top locks and comes with a working key. With a lovely warm colour and original patina this is a delightful compact piece. This bureau that would work well in a hall or living room as an occasional desk. The lock is stamped J Beardmore London W. and there is a furnishers label to the back: “Anderson Standford & Ridgeway House Furnishers Dublin”.

General wear and marks commensurate with age. It has some marks and wear to the feet. There are some well executed old repairs to the fall and also to the feet.
