Description

This is such a pretty ring - an oval cabochon turquoise framed in rose-cut diamonds and mounted in 15-carat gold. The 14 diamonds are lovely and twinkly and really set off against the rich blue of the turquoise. The gold is somewhere between yellow and rose in colour.

Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

In excellent antique condition. We believe this would have started out life as a Victorian brooch and has been nicely converted to a ring.

Size: R (UK), 8.5 (US), approx 1mm width. The face of the ring measures 1 x 0.8cm and it sits around 0.7cm above the finger.
