A very good Victorian inverted breakfront burr and figured walnut open and enclosed bookcase. The rectangular shaped top having book matched walnut veneers with outline box wood stinging and cross grain moulded edge. Below is the fine marquetry inlaid and ormolu beaded frieze. The open centre section with 2 solid walnut adjustable shelves and flanked by 2 cabinets with glazed doors which have canted edges with further marquetry inlay and again with 2 adjustable walnut shelves The whole raised on an inverted breakfront plinth with outline boxwood stinging. Condition - very good throughout with polished mahogany lining and working locks with key. Dimensions:- Height…40.5’’/ 103cm. Width…77.75’’/ 197.5cm. Depth…15.5’’/ 39.5cm.
