Solid Silver Gold Plated Letter Opener with Agate Handle 1873

This superb VICTORIAN GOLD PLATED SILVER LETTER OPENER was made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths of Chawner & Co in 1873.

The Solid Silver Blade is gold plated and has a handle made out of beautiful agate (a translucent variety of microcrystalline quartz) which has been hand crafted to create an absolutely sensational handle.

In excellent condition despite being almost 150 years old, this high quality Letter Opener comes in a lined wooden box and would look stunning in any setting.
