Set 3 Battersea Enamel Gaming Trays Circa 1770

Description

Rare set of three George III Battersea enamel oval shaped gaming trays used for the card game of quadrille. (early form of poker). The sides pierced and with hand painted decoration inside of cards and bank notes. All in fine condition with just a little touching up on top edges of larger tray. This is the first set of three I have ever had, usually only finding single trays.Very rare and most collectible.

Size; largest 5" x 4.5"; smaller ones 4" x 3". All 1.5" high
