Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The single drawer is sycamore lined with many compartments & pin cushions. It must have been meant for use in conjunction with the slide out work box below. The playing surfaces are stunning & very colourful. They are made up from many exotic woods & very detailed. This table sits on four turned legs that are nicely turned, carved & fluted, as is the cross stretcher between. There are four beautifully carved cabriole legs with the original white porcelain casters & in-between the legs are the original top & bottom finials. The top half of this games table is veneered in the most beautifully patterned burr walnut & the bottom half is all solid walnut.
