A stunning double fusee English Skeleton Clock by Edwards of Stourbridge (1829-1853). The substantial very well-made brass plates having the typical “oriental” influenced plates with six spoke wheels throughout.
The movement has been fully overhauled by our Jessica Elliott and comes with a full three years guarantee for your peace of mind.
James Edwards was in business in the high Street of Stourbridge from 1829 and later Hagley Road. Edwards had a personality and flair for presenting clock mechanisms and there are reports that he drew large crowds of sightseers when shown at the Great Exhibition of 1851.
With over twenty five years experience in restoring and conserving clocks and working on some of the finest and complicated clocks for a select group of the best antique clock dealers in the country.
