Theodor Fahrner gold brooch.c. 1940-50's.A stylised swirl design with textured and plain polished gold, decorated with three circular cabochon opals of a very pretty colour. The light picking out colours of blues and reds. Theodor Fahrner mostly worked with silver so to find an item in gold is very unusual. Hall marked on the reverse. TB 585 FAHRNER (14ct ). measures 40mm across x 32mm. weight 9.5g Probably in original Harrolds of London box
Theodor Fahrner was born in 1859 in Pforzheim, Germany. His father, Theodor, Sr., manufactured and sold rings that memorialized historical events
When his father died in 1883, Theodor took control of the company and expanded its production beyond rings to necklaces, bracelets, brooches and earrings. He also pioneered designer jewelry and the use of well-known and respected artists of various disciplines to design jewelry made partly or entirely by machine. Each artist had a distinctive style, and the little ring factory became was one of the most prosperous jewelry houses in Europe and remained so until the 1950s.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund the full amount excluding postage. For this, you will need to notify us within 7 days of receipt via either e-mail or telephone that you would like to return the item. Once we have confirmed receipt of this notification, we will need to receive confirmation that the item has been sent via a tracking reference within 7 days.
Please ensure the item is packaged and addressed correctly and sent via a suitable method. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or do not reach us in their original condition. Please do not use paper envelopes as jewelry will tear through these.
We will send the purchase price back to you via the method by which you paid as soon as we have received the item back and we are satisfied that it is in its original condition. It should also include the original box or packaging e.g. velvet bag/box.
The cost of return postage will be at your own expense.
Returns and credits will be processed within 3 days of receipt and inspection of the item. We will confirm receipt of the returned item and completion of the refund via e-mail. Please note that re-sized items are non-refundable.
Shipping Info
Shipping is free for all orders over £150. Orders under £150 are subject to a £8 shipping charge within the UK. We always ship using Royal Mail Special Delivery in the UK or Tracked & Signed if going internationally. Costs will vary for international shipping please contact us to discuss this.
All orders will be fully insured for the retail value in case of loss or damage. We mainly ship on Mondays and Thursdays. If you have a specific need for a package to be with you quickly, please contact us to discuss. We are always open to making a special trip to have a piece sent out. Packages will require a signature upon arrival.
Please be aware that additional import, sales or customs taxes may be added according to your country's requirements. These costs are your responsibility.
Delivery within the UK normally takes place the next working day from the day of shipment. Worldwide delivery could take up to 4 weeks. Please bear this in mind when making a purchase. We cannot make it go any faster unfortunately!
