French Mahogany Bookcase C.1850.

Description

Good looking mid 19th.c. French mahogany bookcase c.1850. Two long glazed doors with blind panels in the base, fitted inside with five adjustable shelves (depth 9½"). Particularly well figured flame mahogany veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern across the front and sides. Tall moulded cornice and plinth, reeded door trim and simple inlaid detail to the shelf fronts, otherwise free of applied decoration. Oak groundwork to the sides and oak back panel. Note the full length locking bolts to the right hand door. Some minor repairs to the veneers, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.

This bookcase completely disassembles for delivery – ideal for rooms with awkward access.
