A Fine Georgian Mahogany Lancashire Longcase Clock by Robert Douglas of Bury c1790 with moon phase indication in the arch, sweep calendar and sweep second subsidiary dial.
The stunning inlaid flame mahogany Lancashire case is of the highest of standards as is expected from clock of this region. The solid mahogany panels have been skilfully and carefully selected to show the finest of flame effects and the hood with spiral columns and fine fretwork panels to the top of the swanneck. The case is certainly of Gillows of Lancashire standard
The beautifully engraved brass dial with sweep calendar hand is finished with the hand painted moon-phase indication. The substantial knopped pillar movement has been fully overhauled by me personally and comes with a full three year guarantee for your piece of mind.
