Description

A Regency Period Flame Mahogany and Bras inlay Bracket Clock by Ballard of Cranbrook c1820 complete with its original wall mounted bracket.
This beautiful bracket clock with gadroon top, pineapple finial and fine brass inlay to the four corners and base panel has had little if any repairs done in all its 200 years of life. The flame mahogany has a patina that is only achieved with age and we have simply and carefully cleaned the case to remove the many years of wax, dust and dirt to reveal its original shellac finish. The silk has replaced the threadbare items it had but I have matched the colour as close as possible.
The double fusee knopped pillar movement has been fully overhauled by us and still retained its original nameplate to the backplate. The pendulum keep is present and the full movement has a three year guarantee for your peace of mind.
The original wall bracket id simple in its elegance being made for curved and inlaid mahogany pieces and is finished with a brass band to the rim.
