. The moulded-edge seat frame surmounted by a loose , padded cushion pad of unusual format attached through the frame to the underside by straps .

The backs with shaped and carved central lumbar bars with central tablets , across the ergonomically-shaped and carved frames . The corners of the top rails carved with stylised anthemion or cornucopia motifs with a corresponding central tablet or reserve.

The timber of a rare high grade and thickness, the quality of which is generally associated with the esteemed cabinet-making form of Gillows of Lancaster and London.
In excellent original condition with no breaks, damage or repairs . Retain original finish , colour and patina.
