Very pretty and rare period french Louis XV poudreuse in kingwood with tulipwood bandings and marquetry inlay. The central section of top lifting to form a book rest and the sides opening out to compartments. The frieze slide felt lined and hinged with original plate mirror on back and with shallow oak lined drawer below. The elegant cabriole legs with ormolu sabot joined by a flat shaped stretcher. Note the lovely marquetry to the top and the quarter veneering. All in fine original condition with just a few minor veneer repairs. Wonderful rich honey colour with fine waxed patina. A little gem of a piece of french furniture.
