Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It has a serpentine top rail above an attractive fan-shaped back splat and features carved out swept arms. It stands on chamfered legs united by H-cross stretcher and the drop-in seat has been newly recovered in a good quality fabric. Would make wonderful bedroom or desk chair. The chair is slightly lower than standard at 44cm high to the top of the seat pad.
