Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It has a serpentine top rail above an attractive fan-shaped back splat and features carved out swept arms. It stands on chamfered legs united by H-cross stretcher and the drop-in seat has been newly recovered in a good quality fabric. Would make wonderful bedroom or desk chair. The chair is slightly lower than standard at 44cm high to the top of the seat pad.

Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered in good quality fabric over existing horsehair upholstery which is sound. The chair is slightly lower than standard at 44cm high to the top of the seat pad.
